An employer can collect genetic information to monitor the biological effects of toxic substances in the workplace.

    Explanation:

Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act (GINA) is a national act that forbids discrimination in employment and health coverage on the basis of genetic information. Although to access an employee's genetic information by an employer is illegal, there are six exceptions to the rule which includes the acquisition of genetic information of an employee through monitoring programs that checks the biological impacts of lethal materials in the workplace.

The act clearly states that employers can obtain genetic information for family medical leave cases and can also release same information to a health researcher that conducts researches in compliance with the regulations made by the federal government.
