How have presidents traditionally regarded the role of vice president?

    Traditionally, the vice president held the role As an advisor.

    Not only that, the vice president will also act as president's right hand in dealing with something that the president wouldn't be able to attempt. Within united states' regulation, the vice president also will take the place of the president if the president is impeached before the period of presidency is over.
