Why did President Andrew Jackson fight to bring about an end to the Second Bank of the United States?

A. The bankers had not supported his presidency.

B. He believed the bank was too powerful.

C. The bank's rich customers wanted the bank closed.

D. He wanted Congress to support him on other issues so he agreed to sign the bill that they sent to him closing the bank.

    B. He believed the bank was too powerful.

    Andrew Jackson believed the Bank was too powerful so he removed all the federal funds from the Bank. This caused the collapse of the federal banking system. Jackson was a proponent of states right and wanted more power in the states hand versus the federal government.
