    acceptance

    Explanation:

The 5 stages in the model include: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. It was introduced by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross in a book called 'Death and Dying' which came out in the year 1969.

In the acceptance stage which is the last stage we hear such things as - "I can't fight it; it's going to be okay" I may as well prepare for it." Individuals therefore embrace mortality or death or the inevitable future for themselves or that of a loved one, or any other tragic event.
