Which free states did not vote for Lincoln in the 1860 election? and Why?

    To answer your question, the free states did not vote for Lincoln in the 1860 election are those states that would form Confederacy. Those free states are the southern states such as Missouri, New Jersey. The southerners were also against Lincoln's beliefs on abolishing slavery.
