Answer: Before an item becomes an agent of political socialization, it has to be considered on it's ability to change people's perspective towards political and economic values. These agents include the family, the school, the peers, media, work places, religions and legal systems
Explanation: Agents of political socialization are not limited to the above mentioned but like earlier stated, they are the common ones. Most at times, these agents are referred to as institutions which many believe work together in order to achieve the purpose of influencing people on political values. The family for instance, is a child's first contacts. Here, many values are taught including the ones on politics, how to identify it and most importantly how to actively participate in it. Likewise schools, human rights and property are being taught as well as a person's responsibility towards his / her State. The media plays the part of wide spread awareness through news coverage. Also, political parties play a vital role too when they create awareness through campaigns even with little or no direct influence on a child.
