What can be said about the treatment of Native Americans during this time period? How might many Native Americans have felt? Do you think you would have agreed with Chief Joseph if you were one of the chiefs to whom he was speaking? Why or why not?

    1. Not ideal, but significantly better compared to how they treated in the past.

    Back then, The settlers made various efforts to completely exterminate native indians from they live.

    Nowdays, government give some amount of check for Native Indians people as a form of 'payback' from the stolen land and bad Treatment in the past.

    2. Many Native AMericans still felt resentfull even until this days.

    Even though they no longer receive murderous treatments like they did in the past, the tale was still passed down to their next generation.

    With those knowledge inside their mind, it is hard not to feel resentfull.

    3. Yes, personally i would agree with Chief joseph.

    Chief Joseph believes that Indian affairs should not be handled exclusively by members of the native indians.

    Government had no place to intervene with their internal affairs considering the treatment that they received in the past.
