A second interpretation of the 2005 CT scan suggested that Tutankhamen's broken leg occurred just before his death. Evidence suggests that extreme care was taking during the mummification process and, as the broken leg occurred just before his death, it could not have happened when Carter recovered his body. Scientists are not sure how the broken leg occurred so the answers b - a chariot race or c - a vicious fight - are both options. The break itself would not have caused Tutankhamen's death.
