One reason a direct democracy will not work in the United States is because a large group of voters would be to difficult to manage. This is because people get together and these days they will riot and fight each other over any political disagreement. The United States has millions of registered voters but not all of the people elect to vote. There are also millions of people who are not registered to vote and still get mad when the person they like doesn't win an election. Another reason a direct democracy won't work is because of the nightmare it would bring the minority population. The correct answer is D.
