    Wartime production was on a hike in America. Many industries went through a massive transition that would allow them to meet the needs of war. The industries which were already a part of defense saw sudden and immense expansion.

    With the whole American industry undergoing a massive change, employment opportunities were brought at doorstep of citizens. About 16 million men and women became an active part of the war. Another 26 million people got involved in defense jobs. 8 million of those 26 million were women who became looked for jobs and were employed instantly. To meet the need of labor, they were in demand as well. Minorities including Black people and Latinos were getting employed at a much higher rate than they were before.
