Are you referring to domestic violence? Both men and women can easily be harmed in the world by other humans. It unfortunately happens quite frequently.

Both men and women can be abused. They can be mugged, and sometimes when you are mugged, you get assaulted. They can be jumped. They can even just be in the presence of someone who wants to fight, and end up being beaten up.
