What makes you gay and why do other people hate gays?

Gay is the term that primarily refers to a homosexual person or a person who has homosexual traits. A homosexual person is attracted to people of their own sex.

In my opinion, people hate gays because they don't understand them. Gays do not fit to the classification of male and female in a person's mind. Sometimes, people hate gays because hate is a better alternative than fear. People fear what they don't and can't understand and instead of admitting said fears and trying to find ways to understand, they cover it up with hatred.
