Why were the people in early farming community able to focus on different kinds of work?

The reason behind why the general population in early farming communities were able to focus on different kinds of work is that "Enhanced and improved farming procedures brought about sustenance and food surpluses", which implied that a few people could cultivate for the community while others could rehearse different kinds of work. Farming implied that individuals did not have to suffer and travel to discover foodstuff. Rather, they started to live in settled networks, and cultivated crops or raised cattle etc.
