Athen's Golden age is thought to be the time between 480 and 404 Before Common time (hence the dates: from a higher number to the lower number). It started with the repeal of the Persian invasion, so with the "Victory over the Persians" and it ended with the end of the Peloponesian war, when Sparta won (with the defeat by Sparta)
