    Self report data are data gotten from individuals about their own behaviour, believe and attitude. They are collected usually on papers and are used mostly in psychological studies where human behavior is studies.

    There are various disadvantages of self report data this include,

    Individual not understanding the question asked that is why it is important to ask questions in a simple and directive was to avoid having different meaning to question.

    People may lie - they may be bias by not speaking the absolute truth, they try to give what the society called acceptable leaving behind some fact.

    People might complete it in haste not given attention to important details that is included in the question.

    They may give importance to just an aspect of the questionnaire ignoring other parts.
