Why is conjugation considered a form of asexual reproduction?

    Conjugation was also considered as sexual reproduction because as what is stated that this is a process of genetic combination that occurs between two organisms and this includes the "bacteria" this usually occurs between cells of different mating types. Sexual reproduction among ciliated protozoans takes the form of conjugation.
