How long do low mass stars live

    If I'm correct, a star with a mass like a sun can fuse hydrogen for approximately 10 billion years.

    The larger the star, the faster it burns up its fuel, leading then to a shorter life span. Some really massive stars explode in a supernova after only a few million years of life.
