In 2008, what fraction of traffic-related deaths was a result of alcohol-impaired driving crashes?

    In 2008 the percentage of alcohol caused crashes on the roads was 22%, which is the same percentage from the previous two years and 1% higher then the period of 2000-05. The deaths cause by this type of crushes are varying significantly between the age groups. The most affected age group has been the one of 21-24 years of age, with 34%, while the least affected age group has been the one of 75 + years of age, with 4%. The average comes at 19.78% of deaths caused by this type of crushes.
