    These results support the cognitive hypothesis. In addition, in the part of child language improvement and disorders, the 1970s steered in the cognitive revolution. One of the prime features of this revolution was the cognitive hypothesis. In its strong form, it was contended that cognitive development is a precondition to and that it accounts for language improvement.
