What is the difference between Justinians code and hammurabis code

For Justinian, it was the Byzantine Empire and for Hammurabi it was Amorites in Mesopotamia. The code of laws for each of them strengthened order ... He made them official and had people codify the laws. Hammurabi's laws were more about cause and effect.

Like Justinian's code o Rome, The Code of Hammurabi

distinguished between social classes. If someone was of a lower

class, he punishment was harsh for them than that of a higher

social class. Also, both law systems illustrated the "eye for an

eye" policy. If somene was a vctim of a crime, the person who

committed the crime would have the same thin done to them, unless

of course they were of different social classes in which case the

punishment wold be a proportion.
