A Roman soldier's Life was difficult.

    Explanation:

Romans had a very efficient military. Every soldier was part of a bigger group. They didn't practice individual fighting. But instead worked in teams. Roman Officers had high expectations, and pushed their soldiers to the limits. Mistakes were punished, while achievements rarely went rewarded. I could go on and on, but know that soldiers were expected to be perfect.

A Roman soldier was a well-trained fighting machine. He could march 20 miles a day, wearing all his armour and equipment. He could swim or cross rivers in boats, build bridges and smash his way into forts. After a long day's march, Roman soldiers had to build a camp, complete with a ditch and a wall of wooden stakes.
