    Answer:a. General strain theory

    Explanation:

General strain theory (GST) states that people may end up commiting criminal activities to reduce their stressors or strain because they have failed to achieve social valued goals such as money and power. This is also promoted by the fact that people might have lost what is considered positively values stimuli such as romantic partners and employment.,

Some people may find it hard to deal with these stressors and decide to engage into criminal activities as the way of coping or achieving these goals.

Kim has failed to achieve a social values goal which is going to college as a result she felt there is no other way but to engage into criminal activity as a means towards this goal.
