How are some models better than others for certain situations?

    It all depending on the type of information that you want to get.

    for example, if you want to obtain quantitative data, you need to use the model that are realisticly allow you to count a certain type of information from the subjects. If you want to obtain qualitative data, direct observations or field works would probably be the best model.
