    -Cardiac catheterization is a procedure used to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions. During cardiac catheterization, a long thin tube called a catheter is inserted in an artery or vein in the groin, neck or arm and threaded through the blood vessels to your heart.

    -A child should not have a tub bath or go swimming for 5 days after the catheterization. After a child goes home from the hospital, they should be able to eat normally.
