    Nickles = $1.58

    Dimes = $3.17

    Explanation:

    Suppose

    Value of nickles = X

    Value of Dimes = 2X (Twice as nickle)

    Total Value in the bank = $4.75

    According to given condition

    Value of Nickle + Value of Dimes = Total in the Bank

    X + 2X = $4.75

    3X = $4.75

    X = $4.75 / 3

    X = 1.58

    Nickles = $1.58

    Dimes = (4.75 / 3) x 2 = $3.17

    Check

    1.58 + $3.17 = $4.75

    $4.75 = $ 4.75
