    The volume of air mattress is = 1.127 L

    calculation

    The volume of air is calculated using the ideal gas equation

    that is Pv=nRT where,

    P (pressure) = 3.5 kilopascals convert into Atm

    1 atm = 0.00987 KPa

    ? atm = 3.5 Kpa

    = (3.5 kpa x 1 atm) / 0.00987 kpa = 354.6 atm

    V (volume) = ?

    n (no of moles) = 16.5 moles

    R (gas constant) = 0.0821 L. atm/mol. K

    T (Temperature) = 295 K

    make V the subject of the formula V=nRT/P

    V = (16.5 moles x 0.0821 atm/mol. K x 295 k) / 354.6 atm = 1.127 L
