    The value of h is much lower at the fin base as compared to the fin tip as, the fin material has high thermal conductivity and fins are used to increase the heat transfer from the surface. As, h is not the property of the fluid and its value depends on the variables which influencing convection like the nature of fluid motion.

    When near the fin tip fluid has little contact near the surface solid then it is resulting in lower resistance of flow.
