    I believe the answer is : republic of Formosa

    The area consist of a large number of natural resource, and given to japan as one of the term to stop their millitary Agression, this area was known as the Formosa. The republic of Formosa only lasted around 5 months. It was proclaimed on my 23rd 1985 and re-established as Republic Enzo after Japan conquered it on October 1985
