Two adventages of federal systems

1. It ensures the separation of power which prevents tyranny because the power is split amongst the three branches.

2. It allows an increase of citizen participation. Since the power is shared with state governments, citizens are able to participate more in law making.

3. Since the power is diffused, this makes the government more efficient. Instead of having the national government solve all the issues, it allows for states to attempt to resolve their own problems.
