How is citizenship in the United States different from citizenship in ancient Athens?

A person has to be born to parents who are US citizens to become a citizen.

People born in other countries can apply to become a citizen of the United States.

Only male citizens can become citizens of the United States and vote in elections.

Women are unable to become citizens of the United States but can vote.

    I believe the answer is B. People born in other countries can apply to become a citizen of the United States.

    The other answers don't make sense.
