Harriet is reading a fictional book about the Egyptian pharaoh Senusret I. She is having trouble identifying the themes of the book. Which characteristic should she look for to identify a theme? It is stated by the author in the opening paragraph. It applies to texts other than the one she is reading. It is directly related to the author's biography. It usually appears in the beginning of a text.
