A joint resolution is a type of resolution which is considered to be a form of legislative proposal and it requires the approval of the senate, the house of representative and the president in order to come into force. There are three types of resolution, they are simple, concurrent and joint resolutions. Out of the three types of resolution, it is only the joint resolution that can be used to enact law.
