Do you think that the GOP's decisive victories in 2004 signal the end of the fourth era in the history of the two-party system?

The answer is No. Too much money going into both parties by special interests. The 2004 GOP retentive control of the Presidency and Congress was no dissimilar than the divisive election of 1992 where a Democratic President was elected with a democratically controlled Congress.
