During the Great Depression, why did countries not welcome Jews trying to leave Germany and Austria?

a. Jobs were scarce.

b. Many of those leaving were scientists and artists.

    The only reasonable answer would be A. Job were scares.

    Remember, it was the time of the Great Depression.

    Many Jews tried to find better homes and jobs to work. Countries would turn them away because they already had bankruptcy and people losing jobs.

    The answer is (A). Since there were not enough jobs, Jews were not welcomed in countries whose economies were toppling.
