Colonel Tibbets had no regrets, no remorse for dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. He supported President Truman's decision to drop the atomic bomb because for him it was the right thing to do. He said a lot of people were killed but a lot of people were saved too because the United States did not have to invade Japan.
