What moderate reforms did European socialists support

    The European socialists supported the following reforms:1. Better working conditions for factory workers and farm laborers 2. Assistance for the poor by the governments through their social welfare programs. 3. Minimum wage laws. This reform goes hand in hand with better working conditions reform.

    In theory, socialism's ideal was to redistribute wealth equally between all the citizens of a country. Socialists believed that by redistributing wealth, everyone would be able to afford to live thereby eradicating poverty.

    In practice, socialism is not successful. Workers like to be compensated fairly for the work that they do.
