Whar was the direct result of the bay of pigs incident?

Known in Spanish by the name of "La Batalla de Girón em Cuba", the Bay of Pigs Invasion occurred when a contingent of Cuban exiles against Fidel Castro, organized by the United States, tried to invade the southern region of Cuba. This episode occurred in the year 1961 and the exiles people from Cuba were supported by the North American army and trained by agents of the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). The objective was to depose the socialist government that had installed itself after the Cuban Revolution and to overthrow Fidel Castro.

Less than three months after John Kennedy took over the US presidency, the Bay of Pigs Invasion plan was put into action, but it ended up failing. This was due to the equipment and training of the Cuban army, financed by the countries of the Eastern Bloc, and ended up defeating the exiles in a period of 3 days, with a large portion of the aggressors being arrested by the Cuban armed forces. This confrontation further aggravated the bad relationship between the United States and Cuba and resulted in the Missile Crisis.

Aware of American military maneuvers to invade post-revolutionary Guatemala, Che Guevara warned Fidel Castro about the possibility of an attack on the island. In April 1961, Fidel Castro, knowing that the invasion would occur, spoke and announced the socialist nature of the revolution. A day later, the island was attacked by the USA, which started in the region of Praia de Girón, located in the Bay of Pigs.

Through the CIA, the United States trained more than 1,000 Cubans who had been exiled from their country. Most of this group supported dictator Fulgencio Batista, a Cuban military dictator, and was located in Miami. At the time, then President John Kennedy vetoed US Air Force support in this operation because he feared an open and institutional involvement in the operation. This was one of the factors that led to the operation being diluted by the Cuban army in 3 days.
