Historians cannot state how successful the Northwest Ordinance of 1785 or 1787, however given the issuing of the Northwest Ordinance of 1787 after an already proclaimed Northwest Ordinance of 1785, it can be assumed that the Northwest Ordinance of 1785 was ineffective in eliminating conflict with Native American tribes.

Regardless of all of this, Native Americans did not desire to be wiped out completely so it can be assumed that most did not partake in raids against British territories but I am absolutely certain some stragglers led some few raids into British controlled territories to send some form of message that "these are our lands".
