Two children who are raised in separate countries may experience radically different lives. How can political stability, economy, and the availability of resources affect the life of a child?

Political stability, economy and the availability of resources have a major impact on the life of a child. If we compare the life of a child in a war-torn African country, for example, Central African Republic, and the life of a child in an affluent country such as Great Britain, we can easily see the impact of the external circumstances of the relevant country on a child. A child who lives in a war-torn African country will more than likely have fled his home, with or without his parents/family and will be living in a refugee camp, if he is lucky. There is a good chance that he would have been kidnapped and forced to fight as a child soldier. If he has managed to escape that horror, he could be hiding in the nearest forest hoping to escape detection by the armed forces/rebels. It goes without saying that there will be very little food available, not much shelter, no clothing, toilet or bathroom facilities. There will also be no schooling available. A child in a country such as Great Britain will have a house to live in, food to eat, warm clothing, schooling as well as bathroom facilities and even medical treatment opportunities.
