    Some of the characteristics of non governmental organizations include,

    1. They focus mostly on economic programmes, environmental, and humanitarian.

    2. They have volunteer workers.

    3. They function in multiple countries.

    Non governmental organizations are termed as NGOs. They are international organizations and they are non-profit. They are mostly active on public policy, health cares, social, human rights and environmental.

    They are being funded by citizens. Most of NGO are being run by volunteering and some by donations which are being funded.

    Most characteristics in non governmental organization is that, it is being hindered by short-term which have objectives in finances.

    They devote themselves to the problems which are known to occur in horizons which are long term.

    For example, malaria prevention, climate change, ban of landmines which comes globally.
