A can of tuns has a shape similar to the shape of a large water tank. The can of tuna has a diameter of 3in and a height of 2in. The water tank has a diameter of 6yds. What is the height of the water tank in both inches and yards?

    The water tank's height is 4 yards or 144 inches

    ratio of diameter to height: 3 in to 2 in

    because the shapes are similar they will have the same ratios,

    so 3/2 = 6/4
