    Log (base2) (1+x) + log (base2) (5-x) - log (base2) (x-2) = 3

    log (base2) [ (1+x) (5-x) / (x-2) ] = 3

    (1+x) (5-x) / (x-2) = 2^3 = 8

    solve equation x = 3, - 7

keep in mind when solving for x that x cannot be - 1, 5 and 2 which make undefined value : log (0)

    formula

    log (a) + log (b) = log (ab)

    log (a) - log (b) = log (a/b)
