How do you expand this equation 3 (2x+9)

    I'm not completely sure what you're asking, but I'll try : D

    3 (2x + 9) = 3 (2x) + 3 (9) = 6x + 27

    ^^Distributed^^

    3 * 2x = 6x

    3 * 9 = 27

    So 3 (2x + 9) expanded is 6x + 27, or 3 (2x) + 3 (9).
