The ratio of white flour to whole wheat flour in a bread recipe is 2:3. The recipe uses 10 cups of flour. How much of each type of flour is needed?

    This means that 2/5 is white and 3/5 is whole wheat, so 2/5 of 10=4 cups of white, 3/5 of 10=6 cups of whole wheat.
