Solve the equation.

-x - 4 = - 20

the answer is that the x = 16

i got this answer like this

-x - 4 = - 20 subtract 4 by both sides

-x = 16 add it all up

-16 - 4 = - 20

use your calculator if you think im wrong but this is the method i use and it is 100% correct

-x - 4 = - 20

-x = - 16 (-4 becomes + 4 on changing sides)

x = 16 (cancel both the minus signs)

x = 16
