    Let Linda has x amount.

    ⇒ Linda = x

    Reuben has 4 times what Linda has.

    ⇒ Reuben = 4x

    Frank has $7 more than Linda.

    ⇒ Frank = x + 7

    Total = x + 4x + x + 7

    Total = 6x + 7

    Their total is $97

    ⇒ 6x + 7 = 97

    Solve x:

    6x + 7 = 97

    6x = 90

    x = $15

    Linda = x = $15

    Reuben = 4x = 4 (15) = $60

    Frank = x + 7 = 15 + 7 = $22

    Answer: Linda has $15, Reuben has $60 and Frank has $22
