    Current employee = 40 340

    A year ago a company has 40 340 - 24% employee.

    Simply subtract 24% of 40 340 from 40 340 to get the number of employees last year

    => 24% =.24

    => 40 340 x 0.24

    => 9681.6

    Now, let’s subtract this 24% from the total number of employees in the current

    => 40 340 - 9 681.6 or 9682

    => 30 658.4 or 30 658

    The number of employee last year before it increased 24%
