Jennifer has a total of 8/9 square yard of fabric to use for making handkerchief. Each handkerchief requires 1/6 square yard of fabric. Part A How many complete scarves can she make with the material she has? Part B How much of a scarf, if any, is left over?

    8/9 = 48/54

    1/6 = 9 / 54

    Each handkerchief is 9/54. 5 full scarves would be 45/54 leaving 3/54. 1/3 of a complete scarf is left
