    Preferred tickets = X. 75 tickets

    Regular tickets=y. Y-75 regular ticket are all tickets y minus the preferred 75

    45x+34y=8917

    45 (75) + 34 (y-75) = 8917

    3375+34y-2550=8917

    34y+825=8917

    -825. - 825

    34y=. 8092

    Divide by 34

    Y = 238

    238 regular and 75 preferred

    Add 75 + 238=313 tickets
