Velocity is a speed and its direction.
The speed part has units of [length/time].
Some popular ones are "miles per hour", "meters per second",
and "furlongs per fortnight".
The direction part can be described in any way that's convenient to
the situation, like "southwest", "up", "down", or "degrees east of north".
